The Senate confirmed two of President Donald Trump’s district court nominees whose consideration was stalled for months by a lawmaker seeking federal recognition for an Indian tribe in his state.
Robert Chamberlin and James Maxwell were confirmed on Tuesday to the Northern District of Mississippi. The votes for both were along party lines, 51-46, in the Republican-controlled chamber.
