Facebook, Google Knock Out Another Website-Building Patent

Facebook, Google LLC, and others won an administrative challenge to parts of a patent that Express Mobile Inc. has asserted against 19 tech companies in three different US district courts.

The Patent Trial and Appeal Board sided with the challengers on Tuesday and deemed “unpatentable” seven claims in US Patent No. 9,928,044, which is part of a family of patents that relate to website creation and display technology.
