The US federal government shutdown may finally be over, but repercussions of the lengthy pause are still being felt and have now reached into consumer tech.

China-based OnePlus introduced its latest premium Android smartphone on Thursday, equipping the device with a brand new processor from Qualcomm Inc., two days of battery life on one charge, and a fast-refreshing display targeted at mobile gamers.
