ActBlue LLC, the leading fundraising platform for Democratic candidates, says a recent lawsuit it faces from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) is filled with false statements in an effort to silence its political activity.
Paxton wrongly claimed his investigators made donations to ActBlue with untraceable cash gift cards that it told Congress it no longer accepts, the nonprofit said in a lawsuit Friday in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
