Fermi Says Planned Texas AI Power Campus May Reach 17 Gigawatts

Fermi has contracted additional land in Texas that will allow it to expand a planned private power campus for artificial intelligence to more than 17 GW from 11 GW, according to a presentation on Monday.

  • This additional land will need air permits to operate power generation; Fermi received an air permit for 6 GW and has filed for another 5 GW
    • NOTE: One GW is equivalent to a traditional nuclear reactor
