Top SEC Enforcer Comes From Gibson Dunn
A former SEC official will return to the agency next month to take the top enforcement job following the sudden resignation of the previous director, Nicola M. White reports.
David Woodcock, a Dallas- and DC-based partner at law firm Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, will start May 4, the agency said.
Woodcock was head of the SEC’s Fort Worth office from 2011 to 2015. He also previously served as an in-house corporate attorney at Exxon.
