The US Judiciary’s policymaking arm has endorsed legislation that would allow judges and federal prosecutors to carry concealed firearms across state lines after completing law-enforcement training.
The bill (S. 2993) “would enhance federal judges’ personal security, while ensuring that judges are trained and certified in firearm use,” Robert Conrad Jr, the secretary of the Judicial Conference of the United States, wrote in a letter to sponsor Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.).
