A chief appellate judge threw out the Justice Department’s misconduct complaint against the district judge hearing a challenge to President Donald Trump’s ban on transgender people serving the military.
The complaint, lodged by then-DOJ official Chad Mizelle, accused Judge Ana Reyes of the US District Court for the District of Columbia of engaging in conduct during a hearing that “compromised the dignity of the proceedings and demonstrated potential bias.”
