EPA Urges Supreme Court to Deny Emergency Pause of Ozone Rule

States that wish to quash new traveling ozone standards have not given good reason to have the rule frozen while litigation proceeds, according to an opposition brief filed by the Justice Department on Monday.

The agency told the US Supreme Court that the portions of a strict ozone pollution rule being challenged by states in court are “reasonable and adequately explained.”
