William Lay joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett as a partner in its mergers and acquisitions practice in Boston, the firm announced Tuesday.
Lay advises private equity sponsors and public companies on complex M&A, carve-outs, joint ventures and other strategic transactions. His work spans numerous industries, including healthcare and life sciences, technology, retail and manufacturing, the firm said.
He joins from Kirkland & Ellis, according to his LinkedIn profile.
