Liberals challenging Wisconsin’s congressional map will get a chance to litigate over the state’s Republican-favoring lines in a case that could impact the 2026 midterms, after a ruling Friday expediting a portion of a gerrymandering lawsuit.

A three-judge panel in Madison ruled that a group of voters represented by Elias Law Group can get a speedy timeline to resolve part of its case arguing Wisconsin’s lines leading to a six-Republican, two-Democrat congressional delegation violate the state constitution.
