Colorado Doubles Down on Gun Ban After Supreme Court Decision

The US Supreme Court’s latest gun rights decision made clear that state gun laws don’t need to have a “historical twin” to be considered constitutional, the Colorado attorney general’s office told the Tenth Circuit.

The state’s argument comes as courts across the country grapple with the Supreme Court’s requirement that governments and courts look to the country’s “historical tradition of firearm regulation” to determine the constitutionality of current gun laws.
