US Agrees to Keep List of Jan. 6 FBI Workers Secret for Now (1)

The US government reached a temporary agreement Friday not to make public a list of FBI agents, analysts and support staff who helped investigate the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol by President Donald Trump’s supporters.

The accord bars any disclosure until US District Judge Jia M. Cobb in Washington rules on a longer ban sought by anonymous FBI employees, who had sued. The employees warned publicizing their names would expose them to revenge by more than 1,500 people pardoned by Trump for their roles in the attack.
