After a weekend spent attacking the Epstein “Hoax,” President Donald Trump appeared to have a change of heart late on Sunday, encouraging Republicans to vote in favor of releasing files “Because we have nothing to hide.”
The reversal seems to clear the way for the House to vote — reportedly as early as Tuesday — on a measure that calls on the DOJ to release what it has.
It came after a weekend of attacks on
Greene said on CNN that Trump calling her a “traitor” was “extremely wrong” and “those are the types of words used that can radicalize people against me and put my life in danger.”
Now there are no obstacles to what could be a lopsided vote in the House, and perhaps also now a clear path in the Senate.

But First, a Censure Vote?
Speaking of messy splits, one of the votes that’s being teed up as the House returns to business is an effort by Rep.
The unusually public battle stems from Garcia’s decision to opt out of re-election at a time when it was impossible for any one other than his staffer to get the paperwork in place to run.
The censure would be for actions “beneath the dignity of his office and incompatible with the spirit of the Constitution.”

Ex-Fed Governor Allegedly Violated Ethics
Former Federal Reserve Governor Adriana Kugler allegedly violated Fed ethics rules and was subject to an internal probe when she stepped down in August, Amare Omeokwe reports.
In her final weeks at the Fed, Kugler sought to address a problem with her financial holdings, but Chair Jerome Powell denied her request for a necessary waiver ahead of the central bank’s July 29-30 policy meeting, according to a Fed official. She skipped the meeting and announced her resignation days later.
The revelations come as Trump has accused a different Fed official, Lisa Cook, of fraud and attempted to fire her.
The Office of Government Ethics on Saturday released Kugler’s latest financial disclosures, which included previously undisclosed trading in multiple individual stocks in 2024 — some of which occurred during the Fed’s blackout period — in violation of the agency’s ethics rules. Kugler, a Biden appointee, stepped down 6 months early with little explanation. Trump filled her seat with adviser Stephen Miran.
