Accidental Americans Appealing US Citizenship Case After Court Loss

A group representing US citizens abroad said Monday that it’s appealing the dismissal of its lawsuit against the State Department challenging the fees charged to renounce American citizenship.

L’Association des Américains Accidentels, an advocacy group representing U.S. citizens in Europe and Asia, “intends to challenge all the grounds of the dismissal of their claim,” it said in a statement, with the appeal to be heard before three judges of the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
