Advisers, Lawyers Push EU to Revise Cross-Border Tax Info Rules

Lawyers and tax advisers are pushing the EU to loosen its cross-border tax arrangement reporting rules, arguing it’s too costly and duplicates reporting obligations.

The Directive for Administrative Cooperation, also known as DAC, allows EU countries to share tax information between themselves, encapsulating everything from cryptoassets and online platforms to simplified procedures for companies filing returns under the EU’s 15% corporate minimum tax law.
