Albania MOF Releases Draft Bill to Implement Mandatory Invoicing to Prevent Tax Evasion

The Albanian Ministry of Finance July 31 released a draft bill to implement mandatory invoicing by taxpayers supplying goods or services to prevent tax evasion. The bill includes measures that would: 1) require mandatory electronic invoicing for cashless transactions; 2) require mandatory invoicing for cash transactions; 3) provide a list of activities exempted from invoicing; 4) require invoice presentation for tax exemption and tax calculation; 5) require invoicing for receipt of goods and services for specified activities; 6) provide the form and content of invoices; 7) require the registration of place of business and invoicing equipment; and 8) provide sanctions ...
