The Albanian Parliament (Kuvendi I Shqiperise) April 14 accepted for consideration a bill to amend the Income Tax Law. The bill includes measures to provide an individual income tax exemption on: 1) income stemming from pensions and other similar benefits received from a nonresident country, in accordance with that country’s legislation, when earned by individuals who are tax residents in Albania; and 2) the income of individuals who have the status of a blind person, as certified under applicable legislation.
