Angola Economy Ministry Adopts Tax Relief Measures Due to Coronavirus

The Angolan Ministry of Economy April 13 adopted tax relief measures due to the coronavirus pandemic. The announcement includes: 1) that the industrial tax declaration deadline is extended to May 29 for group B companies and June 30 for group A companies; 2) a 12-month tax credit on VAT payable for the importation of capital goods and raw materials used in the production of 54 approved goods; and 3) an interest-free deferred payment option for Q2 2020 social security contributions, allowing six monthly installment payments from July to December.
