Angola Tax Agency Announces VAT Registration Thresholds

The Angolan General Tax Administration Jan. 28 announced VAT registration thresholds based on 2021 sales and imports. The announcement includes registration requirements for: 1) taxpayers with annual turnover up to 10 million Angolan kwanzas (US$18,766) for the VAT exclusion regime; 2) taxpayers with annual turnover up to 350 million kwanzas (US$656,781) for the simplified VAT regime; and 3) taxpayers with annual turnover over 350 million kwanzas for the general VAT regime.
