Argentina Gazettes Decree Establishing Promotion Regime for Exports of Knowledge Economy Activities

The Argentine Official Gazette Oct. 11 published Decree No. 679/2022, to promote investments in exports of knowledge economy activities until June 30, 2023, with possible extension until Dec. 31, 2023. The decree includes measures: 1) establishing qualification criteria for covered investments that will benefit from the promotion regime; 2) allowing qualifying employers to convert up to 70 percent of their applicable social contributions into a tax credit bond; 3) setting rules for transfers of the tax credit bonds offered under the regime; and 4) requiring use of tax credit bonds within 24 months of their issuance, with possible extension by ...
