Argentina President Announces Creation of New Tax Agency, Elimination of VAT Exemptions for Certain Publications

The Argentine President’s Office Oct. 21 announced the government’s decisions to: 1) create the Tax Collection and Customs Control Agency to replace the Federal Administration of Public Revenue, effective the same date; and 2) eliminate exemptions under the law for supplies of newspapers, magazines, periodical publications, and digital newspaper subscriptions.
