Audit Board Names Enforcement and Investigations Division Chief

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) announced Monday that George G. Demos has been named director of its Division of Enforcement and Investigations, where he will oversee and direct the PCAOB’s investigations and enforcement of violations of its rules, professional standards, and other applicable securities regulations.

Demos has extensive experience in enforcement and investigations, having previously served as a litigation partner at DLA Piper LLP; senior counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement; and an adjunct professor at University of California, Davis School of Law.
