Australia Bans Former PwC Partner From Practicing for Four Years

Australia’s regulatory body Tuesday banned former Pricewaterhouse Coopers partner Richard Gregg from practicing as an agent, for allegedly falsifying his clients’ research and development tax credits applications.

The country’s Tax Practitioner Board imposed a professional ban on Gregg, prohibiting him from re-applying for registration for four years for allegedly breaching multiple obligations under the country’s tax agent services law and the professional code of conduct.

Gregg was found to be submitting research and development tax incentive applications that “did not meet the eligibility requirements” and “could not be substantiated,” according to a statement by TPB.
