The Australian Official Gazette Dec. 1 published a legislative instrument on the waiver of the tax invoice requirement for corporate cardholders under the GST regime. The instrument includes measures: 1) relieving qualifying taxpayers of the obligation to hold a tax invoice for creditable acquisitions; 2) listing the taxpayer requirements for obtaining relief from holding a tax invoice; 3) calculating adjustments to GST payable; and 4) outlining reimbursement requirements. The law entered into force and generally took effect Feb. 11. [Australia, Government Legal Database, 12/01/20]
