The Australian Official Gazette March 31 published Act No. 28, the Treasury Laws Amendment (More Cost of Living Relief) Act 2025. The law includes measures: 1) setting the resident individual income tax rates, including rates ranging from 15 percent to 45 percent for the 2026-2027 income year, and from 14 percent to 45 percent for the 2027-2028 income year and subsequent income years; and 2) increasing the Medicare levy low-income thresholds for the 2024-2025 income year and subsequent income years.
