Australia Tax Agency Announces General, Shortfall Interest Charge Rates for Q1 2026

The Australian Taxation Office Dec. 9 announced the general interest charge (GIC) and shortfall interest charge (SIC) rates for Q1 2026. The announcement includes: 1) the GIC rates of 10.65 percent annually, and 0.02917808 percent daily; and 2) the SIC rates of 6.65 percent annually, and 0.01821918 percent daily.
