The Australian Taxation Office March 4 issued guidance on filing requirements for taxable payments annual reports (TPARs). The announcement also includes that: 1) businesses paying contractors for taxable payments reporting system (TPRS) services may need to file a TPAR by Aug. 28 each year; 2) the criteria for imposing noncompliance penalties on businesses include failure to file their TPAR for 2025 or previous years and being issued three reminders letters; 3) business that don’t need to file a TPAR can submit a non-filing advice (NLA) form; and 4) businesses that no longer pay contractors can also use the NLA form ...
