Austria MOF Clarifies List of Tax-Free Employer Benefits

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance Feb. 27 clarified the list of tax-free employer benefits. The list includes: 1) free or discounted meals, drinks, goods, or use of employer’s facilities, and voluntary contributions for the funeral of employees or immediate relatives; 2) participation in company events of up to 365 euros (US$395) per year and benefits in kind received up to 186 euros (US$201) per year; 3) benefits from the employer to secure the future to all employees or to the works council fund up to 300 euros (US$325) per employee per year; 4) free or discounted transfer of employee ...
