Austria to Consider Temporary Tax Cut on Fuels: Stocker

Austria is considering a temporary reduction of taxes on fuels to lower the impact of price increases on consumers, Chancellor Christian Stocker says in emailed statement.

• Measure aims to channel any potential increase in budget tax revenue from higher fuel prices back to consumers
• Government currently assessing which measures are the most effective and accurate
