The Azerbaijani Ministry of Labor and Social Protection Dec. 21 announced an increase in the minimum monthly wage to 300 Azerbaijani manats (US$176) from 250 manats (US$147), beginning Jan. 1, 2022. Payments of salaries below the minimum wage will be subject to a penalty of between 1,000 manats (US$588) and 1,500 manats (US$882).
