The Azerbaijani President Jan. 5 signed a decree increasing the monthly minimum wage and implementing measures for labor pensions. The decree includes measures: 1) increasing the monthly minimum wage by 15 percent to 345 Azerbaijani manats (US$202.65) from 300 manats (US$176.22), effective Jan. 1, 2023; 2) directing the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure that the monthly salaries of public sector workers are adjusted accordingly within one month of the decree’s signing; and 3) directing the cabinet to submit proposals within 10 days concerning increasing social benefits, and concerning increasing the minimum amount of the labor pension to 280 manats (US$164.47). ...
