Bahamas MOF Seeks Comments on Proposed Corporate Income Tax Strategies

The Bahamian Ministry of Finance May 17 opened a consultation on proposed options for corporate income tax strategies, to align with the OECD’s recommended global minimum tax for large multinational enterprises (MNEs). The proposed options include: 1) the OECD’s recommended 15 percent global minimum corporate income tax for multinational enterprises (MNEs); 2) the 15 percent minimum tax for large MNEs, and a 10 percent corporate income tax rate for all other companies; 3) the 15 percent minimum tax for large MNEs, a 12 percent corporate income tax rate for all other companies with annual turnover exceeding 500,000 Bahamian dollars (US$500,000), ...
