Baker McKenzie Announces New Head of Tax for Austria

Baker McKenzie, a global law firm, announced the hiring of Christoph Schimmer as the new head of tax for Austria.

Schimmer is dually qualified as an attorney and certified tax adviser in Austria, the firm said in a release Tuesday. His expertise includes corporate and international tax matters, structuring M&A transactions, complex restructurings, and group reorganizations.

His “wealth of experience in structuring cross-border and domestic investments and transactions” will be a “terrific asset” for clients, Austria managing partner Alexander Petsche said in the release.
