Bangladesh Tax Agency Announces Mandatory Electronic VAT Payment

The Bangladeshi National Board of Revenue Dec. 30, 2021, announced mandatory electronic VAT payments for amounts exceeding 5 million Bangladeshi taka (US$58,302), beginning Jan. 1, 2022. The tax agency explained that VAT payments made under a single treasury invoice are deposited through the tax agency’s modern electronic payment method or the A-invoicing system.
