Belarus President Signs Decree Amending Corporate Income, VAT Incentives for Electric Vehicles

The Belarusian President’s Office Dec. 11 announced the signing of Decree No. 428, amending corporate income tax and VAT incentives for the use and production of electric vehicles (EVs). The decree includes measures: 1) extending, to Dec. 31, 2028, from Dec. 31, 2025, a corporate income tax deduction for investments in the acquisition, reconstruction, modernization, and repair of EVs; and 2) extending, beyond Dec. 31, 2025, and amending a zero percent VAT rate provision to apply to citizens, including foreign residents and stateless individuals permanently residing in the country, on imports of qualifying vehicles that are no more than five ...
