Belarus President Signs Decree Providing VAT Incentives for Electric Vehicles

The Belarusian President Nov. 22 signed Decree No. 447, providing VAT incentives for the use of electric vehicles. The decree includes measures providing: 1) a deduction for investments in the reconstruction of electric vehicles and charging stations, applicable through Dec. 31, 2025; 2) an exemption for vehicles imported within five years of production; 3) an exemption for the import of components used to manufacture electric vehicles; and 4) a refund for VAT paid on electric vehicles purchased before Dec. 1, 2021.
