The Belgian Government Feb. 14 announced the Council of Ministers’ approval of a draft royal decree on VAT rate increases regarding specific products and services. The announcement includes measures to increase the VAT rate to: 1) 21 percent from 12 percent for the delivery of pesticides and plant protection products; and 2) 12 percent from 6 percent for services consisting of the provision of furnished accommodations and camping pitches.
