The Belgian Official Gazette Dec. 3 published Law No. 2021033910, amending the tax-deductibility rules for environmentally friendly company cars. The law includes measures: 1) abolishing tax deductions for expenses related to carbon dioxide (CO2) emitting company cars, effective Jan. 1, 2026; 2) providing a tax credit for electric car charging stations, effective Sept. 1, 2021, through Aug. 31, 2024; 3) allowing investment deductions for zero-emission trucks, fueling infrastructure for specific hydrogen fuel, and electric charging infrastructure; and 4) adjusting the CO2 solidarity contribution amounts according to the amended rules.
