Belgium will prioritize agreement on value-added tax reform during its presidency of the Council of the European Union, the country’s finance minister said.
Finalizing an EU VAT reform proposed in December 2022 would be a “key priority during the Belgian presidency,” Belgian Finance Minister Vincent Van Peteghem told other finance ministers of EU countries at a meeting in Brussels Tuesday. Belgium will chair meetings of EU country governments through June 30.
