Bolivia MOF Announces Minimum Wage Increases

The Bolivian Ministry of Economy and Public Finance April 28 announced the government’s agreement to increases in minimum wages. The announcement describes: 1) a 10 percent increase the national minimum wage, to 2,750 Bolivian bolivianos (US$397.88) per month from 2,500 bolivianos (US$361.83) per month; and 2) a 5 percent increase the basic wage for the health, education, police, and armed forces sectors. The announcement also includes that starting in 2025, the calculation of the Complementary Regime for VAT will be based on three national minimum wages.
