The Botswana Ministry of Finance and Economic Development Feb. 6 posted online the 2023 budget speech delivered by the Minister of Finance. The speech describes measures to: 1) expand the lists of items that are exempt from VAT or zero-rated, to include goods and services such as sanitary products and private medical services; and 2) remove other items from these lists.
