Botswana Tax Agency Announces Reversion to Standard VAT Rate April 1

The Botswana Unified Revenue Service March 30 announced the reversion to the standard 14 percent VAT rate, effective April 1. The announcement includes that: 1) the reduced 12 percent VAT rate applies only until March 31; 2) all VAT-registered persons will be required to charge the standard 14 percent rate on April 1; and 3) the Tax Agency will issue transitional guidance.
