Brazil Extends Global Minimum Tax Consultation

Brazil will extend the deadline to receive comments on draft legislation to create a minimum tax for major companies until November 29, the tax authority said in a press release Friday.

Receita Federal do Brasil opened a consultation in October on draft legislation to create a minimum tax of 15% for multinational companies with revenues of over €750m ($1.06 billion), as part of efforts to adapt Brazilian legislation to the Organization for Economic Development and Corporation’s Global Anti-Base Erosion Rules.
