Brazil’s government is confident that the income tax exemption proposal will be maintained after being sent to the floor, Finance Minister Fernando Haddad told reporters in Brasilia.
- Haddad met with Lower House speaker Hugo Motta on Wednesday to discuss the Minority Shareholders’ Bill, Bankruptcy Law, Income Tax Reform, and AI
- Some sectors hit by US tariffs will not use the credit offered by Brazil’s development bank because they do not yet have prospects of selling to other markets, said Haddad
- Tariffs are already affecting US inflation, Haddad said
