The Brazilian Official Gazette Dec. 24 published Decree No. 12,797, setting the minimum wage rates for 2026. The decree includes measures increasing: 1) the monthly minimum wage rate to 1,621 Brazilian reals (US$292.47) from 1,518 reals (US$273.89); 2) the daily minimum wage rate to 54.04 reals (US$9.75) from 50.60 reals (US$9.13); and 3) the hourly minimum wage rate to 7.37 reals (US$1.33) from 6.90 reals (US$1.24).
