Brazil Plans Rules for Transfer Pricing Overhaul This Summer

The Brazilian government will publish implementing regulations for the new transfer pricing rules this summer, if Congress passes a provisional measure needed to turn it into law, an official said Monday.

The rules would come in late June or early July, and may be preceded by a public consultation, said Claudia Pimentel, undersecretary for taxation and litigation at Brazil’s Federal Revenue Service. She was speaking at an International Fiscal Association online event.

Those regulations would come in time for companies trying to decide by September whether they would opt into the new regime in 2023—when the rules can be applied ...
