The Brazilian President’s Office Jan. 23 announced the Jan. 22 signing of the 2024 Annual Budget Law, with line-item vetoes. The law includes a measure reflecting the increase in the monthly minimum wage to 1,412 Brazilian reals (US$286.18) on Jan. 1, 2024, from 1,320 reals (US$267.53) in 2023.
