Brazil Tax Agency Releases Updated Version of Electronic Bookkeeping Platform for ICMS, IPI

The Brazilian Federal Revenue Office June 2 announced the release of an updated digital tax bookkeeping system (EFD version 3.0.5) for the state goods and services tax (ICMS) and the industrialized products tax (IPI). The updates include: 1) updated validation rules referring to Guidance Note No. 01/2023 v 1.3 for single-phase ICMS of the fuel sector; and 2) the inclusion of D700 records and children referring to Electronic Invoice for Communication Services - NFCom (Code 62).
