The Brazilian Federal Revenue Office June 27 announced the release of an updated version (4.0.4) of the state goods and services tax (ICMS) and industrialized products tax (IPI) digital accounting validation program. Updates include corrections regarding: 1) state registration validation rules related to Mato Grosso do Sul state, and Centralized Taxpayer Registry (CCC) methodologies; 2) an issue related to transmitting files from periods before 2019; and 3) the inclusion of specific item codes in record 1400.
